Richard is a Nottingham based artist.
His recent studio work uses a geometric language to play with concerns of weight and balance, the process being a conflicting one of intuitive judgement and premeditated decision - ideas he explores in painting, drawing and sculpture.

He has work sited internationally in many permanent public and corporate collections including GlaxoSmithKline, The Boots Company, the EDA Garden Museum (Tokyo), The British Museum's National Collection of Prints and Drawings and Forma Viva (Slovenia).

He has won various awards for his public sculpture commissions including a National Stone Federation Award for "Needle", a work commissioned by the Jersey Public Sculpture Trust.

Richard was on the design team for Sheffield's Peace Gardens which was awarded a RIBA National Urban Design Award.

Recent exhibitions include solo shows "Richard Perry: Stone and Ink" at Brownsword Hepworth Gallery, London and "Richard Perry: Recent Works" at Djanogly Gallery, Nottingham.

Richard enjoys showing his sculptures and paintings regularly in group shows.
