Originally trained in Jewellery at Middlesex University, Jacky went on to gain an MA at the Royal College of Art. Her practice comprises a range of metalwork techniques and processes, including jewellery, silversmithing and blacksmithing. Creating work that champions skilled craftsmanship over machine fabrication. Jacky creates work for commissions, residencies and exhibitions, ranging in scale from small, hand-held objects through to large-scale architectural pieces.

Using simple geometric shapes as her starting point, Jacky has taken the title of the exhibition at its word and played with these shapes intuitively. Repeating, composing and rearranging these forms, enjoying the processes of exploring all the possibilities, from all angles.

This body of work has offered Jacky a refreshing opportunity to see how colour can transform the linear structures. With colour and energetic lightweight arrangements, cast shadows which add another layer to these pieces.
